Walking Down the PINK Boulevard

Have you ever been to Johns Island? Kiawah Island? Seabrook Island? The trio rest outside of Charleston along the beautiful South Carolina coast. There, nestled in Freshfield Village (a.k.a. Land of the Perfect), is Pink Boulevard. Kelsey, an old Clemson chum of mine, owns this Lilly Pulitzer Via Shop and it is one of my absolute FAVORITES. Also, Kelsey is a very talented artist and showcases a tad of artwork around the shop. For you South Carolina dwellers and vacationers, Pink Boulevard is must-visit! I will be in her neck of the woods this summer and am looking forward to shopping up a storm. So do share, what is your favorite LP shop? Xoxo-BLC

Welcome back Deadliest Catch! I seriously want each of these sailors at my Thanksgiving table. Would that not just be a hoot and a hollar? As long as they weren't sitting next to prim and proper Grams. I go back and forth whether it is ethical for me to watch their show. On the one hand I want them to do well and prosper. On the other hand, the thought of someone who sits around my Thanksgiving table risking it all at the mercy of the Bering Sea sends shivers up my spine. Petal to the Medal

C'est la vie to our last day of the mini-vaca. Tres sad! Many thanks to my dad and stepmadre for a loooovely and memorable time. It was a great calm before the storm ... exams! Ick. And, we missed you sissy. Come next time pretty please? We enjoyed our lazy morning and perused the botanical gardens just before take-off. The sights, sounds, and smells were magnificent. Mmm ... a day at the museum fed our fancy! Pictured is a ceiling fixture made of styrofoam cups that was absolutely breathtaking. My dad and stepmadre were such great sports gallivanting through two museums. Oh, and we ate our hearts out too on delish local cuisine. :) Do share, what is your most favorite museum? Just Bead It

Calling ALL Charlotteans!! Yes, my birthplace has a GREAT bead shop that you MUST visit. I can honestly say I remember when "On A String" was started by Christine in the back of her parent's furniture shop eons ago. Now, it is a sister-affair with prime real estate of their own and a killer business. When I could not find a pair of earrings I was coveting, I headed to their shop and, before I knew it, the missies had made the most beautiful earrings I have EVER seen! To date, they are still my favorite earrings (pictured here). When I accidently "misplaced" them, the missies appeased my panic by making me another pair ASAP. Phew! Anyhoo, you Queen City girlies should stop, shop, and see the palace!! Xoxo-BLC

I glamp, yes ... camping without bugs, snakes, and bears. My glamp of choice, Camp Lurecrest! If it was 1992 through 2002, you could find me on Lake Lure, as a camper then a counselor, living the summer dream, on lake time of course. I'll save my stories for another campfire, but if you have a tott or two interested in glamping, or camping, Camp Lurecrest comes highly recommended by me! So, do tell ... do you glamp or camp!?
