If you have read The Company She Keeps for any amount of time, you will know this: Sheridan French is one of my favorite designers!!! I am so sad, yet proud of her, for closing up shop. I think one reason I loved her line so much is that she was following her dream and passion. And I think that is why I am so proud of her: that dream and passion has shifted ... shifted to her sweet babies and family. I totally understand ALL of that and wish her ALL the best. Work can wait. Bootie Call Face Off ...

I am obsessed with short booties. I think they are easy peasy, chic, and perrrfect for the winter weather in dixie. I now like spending all my pennies on Miss Squeak and her pretties, so I'm all about the bootie deals. I was coveting the Ivanka Trump booties (left) and then spied the Walmart booties (right), I was a smitten kitten on aisle four. I'll let you guess which one came to live with me, wink wink!!! Being preggo alllll summer, I didn't get to sport my favorite frocks.

Maternity Style

Maternity Style: what an oxymoron!!! I'm just weeks away from the baby's due date, but I'm still not interested in maternity clothes. More of Me Maternity, ASOS, and GAP are my go-tos (and thank heavens for them), but if I can squeak by without, you better believe I am going to try. Stretchy, flowy, and empire waisted have become my best friend. Here is my non-maternity maternity go-to-style:

I love love love this Sheridan French dress (and it's ON SALE) and know I will wear it in my non-maternity times. It's so comfy and flowy --- and I adore the pattern and colors. She makes the best dresses. Sheridan French is one of my all time favorite designers, but I do recognize it's a tad pricy. If you like this look, but want to be more budget conscious, try Old Navy's blue and white maternity dress (as seen here). Fornash jewelry has the best fashion jewels. Jack Rogers have been a staple of mine of over 10 years and I don't see me chaning my mind anytime soon. Prep Yourself with Country Club Prep

 Rarely do the "he" and "she" in our household agree on a one-stop-place to shop, but I think we have found the solution: Country Club Prep!!! I first met CCP through Elizabeth McKay, who is one of my most favorite designers everrr. They carry her line and sooo many wonderful preppy collections.

We made out like bandits: "he" walked with three ties, cummerbund/bowtie set, and fishing shirt. "She" walked with TWO pairs of shoes. And we might have to share the koozies. :)

THE Bangles

Mamatella was recently shopping at On A String and visiting with Anne and Christine,

when they introduced her to THE BANGLES!!! They generously sent her home with

four for me and OH MY WORD --- I think they are to die for and I just love them to pieces.

As you can see up close below: there is a mint green, coral, neutral clover,

and charmed bangle. I have been wearing these NONE stop.

Of course I wore them to a friends baby shower and what do you know:

Swap Till You DROP!!!

You know what trumps shop till you drop!?! I'll tell you: swap till you drop!!! Almost two years ago, Recipes from Newlyweds and I hosted our first ever Clothing Swap Soiree. Oh-my was it FUN!!!  

So we did it again ... a few weeks ago. There is something about Springtime that makes me want to dig deep in my closet and clean it out. And there is something about being pregnant and not able to wear half your wardrobe that makes you want to purge it allll. This swap is the perfect way to weed out those unworn clothes and send them to a happy home.
