Is it August yet!?!

Eeeek!!! I arrived home to quite the surprise today. The pictured Lilly Pulitzer Agenda was patiently waiting at my doorstep. Thanks a million to Lifeguard Press for sending me the new Lilly Pulitzer Agenda in Gimme Some Leg!!! I absolutely adore this agenda and I truly appreciate your generosity. I think everyone should have one. I cannot wait for August to hurry up and get here so I can use it already!!! The agenda is tabulated for 2012 and 2013 (wowzer) at a glance, dates to celebrate, holidays and contacts, months at a glance, and then each month individually. It even has stickers and "reasons to celebrate" --- as if I need any help in that area!!! Again, thank you thank you thank you Lifeguard Press for spoiling me. Now, go on already and get yours too!!! Gooooood luck picking which print ... you cannot go wrong. Xoxo-BLC

Going to the Chapel ...

... and she is getting married!!! I am sooo excited for one of my college best friend's BIG day!!! We snapped the picture below right before the bride (middle) slipped on her dress. Don't you love the maid dresses by Lula Kate!?! I certainly do --- dare I say its my favorite of all 12 thus far!?!
We woke up early to primp and it was divine having someone else in charge of beautifying moi.
I just loved the hair and make-up team and they not only made me look pretty, but I felt pretty too.
Above is my bouquet filled with peonies and our sneak peak of the reception. The flowers could not have been prettier. Look at the dashing couple!!! I think they were made to grace Town & Country.
The reception was a cricket club and oh la la was it glamorous. I just loved the green grass courts and the lovely decor inside. If we had a cricket club like this in our neck of the woods, I would live there.
Stella is one of my dearest friends and being a part of her BIG day was such a gift. She deserves all the happiness in the world and seeing her sooo happy just made it beyond special. Her day could not have been more perfect and stunning. Chin chin to the newlyweds and your lifetime of happily ever after!!! Xoxo-BLC

Rehearse and Dine

So we hopped on an earrrrly flight and jetted to Philly. You thought the be to-do was last week with the Lilly Pulitzer warehouse sale!?! Oh but you were mistaken ... one of my best friends is getting married THIS weekend it's the real BIG to do!!! This crew had so much fun in Vegas and tonight was no exception. We rehearsed and dined and celebrated their love in BIG anticipation of their BIG day tomorrow. Cheers to the lovebirds!!! Xoxo-BLC

Happy ... Happy!!!

It's the first official day of summer and Wear Your Lilly Pulitzer Day ... I can hardly contain my excitement!!! I live for summering ... don't you!?! Don't fret: I am wearing LILLY today to celebrate both at once. It wasn't too tough!!! I sported a vintage Lilly (see print left) with a navy blazer to work and dropped the blazer as soon as 5PM hit. Are you joining the celebration too!?! Happy First Day of Summer and Wear Your Lilly Pulitzer Day!!! That's a lot of happies, isn't it!?! Xoxo-BLC
PS: I must say, I've read Keep it Chic for a looong time and her post today was ah-mazing. Check it out here: http://keepitchic.com/2012/06/20/summer-solstice/. Do you have a summer solstice resolution!?! Forget NYE ones ... summer ones are just better. :)

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day!!! I am wishing Daddy, Ale's padre, my brother-in-law, and all my uncles a very very very HAPPY PADRES DAY!!! Also, I am verrry thankful for (and miss much) the fatherly love of my stepdad and grandfather. I wish I could be with each and every one of you all, but I will be thinking of you and missing you each and loving each of you. Enjoy your day celebrating YOU!!! Cheers to you and your father's. Xoxo-BLC

PS: Ale sent me this video and it makes me a tad worried for when he is a father ... good thing Stewart isn't loosing any teeth soon!!! :)

Summer Staples

:: H&M top :: Loren Hope earrings :: Ivanka Trump flips ::
:: Lilly Pulitzer shorts :: Barbri books :: Straw Tote ::
It's summertime and that means easy peasy!!! If you see a girl in the above outfit, it's probably moi because I cannot stop wearing this outfit. It's definitely my summer-staple and sure to be a repeat offender alllll summer looooooong. What do you sport in the summertime!?! Cheers to summmmmmer. Xoxo-BLC

PS: Oh, and did I mention I'm taking a neighboring state's bar exam!?! Hence the book goes e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e with me. They offer these things in the wintertime, why do I sign up for the summer ones!?! Fingers crossed lightening strikes twice and I can pass this cookie again. Wish me luck. :)

Lilly Palooza

You had me at Lilly!!!
I had the best time two Springs ago and highly recommend all Lilly Lovers make the trip. It is sooo much fun being in a massive room surrounded by loads of Lilly and in the company of other Lilly Lovers.
I'll be in Philly next weekend, so I have my fingers (and toes) crossed to make it this Fall. So dish: are you tickled pink to be going??? If so, make me green with envy!!! Xoxo-BLC

Waving Bye-Bye

Why are we always so blue to wave bye-bye to the ocean!?!
Until next time ... Xoxo-BLC

I spy a Queen on King ...

It wouldn't be a proper stay in Charleston without ...
... a stroll through the straw market and a swing on King Street.
I spied the Queen of the Jungle on King Street and oh la la what a treat!?!
Summertime was in full bloom and I just loved every bit of it!!!
If you are ever in Charleston, be sure to visit the girls at Palm Avenue.

Charleston in Charge of ♥

It is always so much fun to be in the presence of college friends.
Getting together to see a college chum say I do is one of the best occasions.
The wedding ceremony was absolutely gorgie and the reception afterward
took place at this great indoor/outdoor location. And they had such a lovely Charleston day!!!
If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that Katie from Ohio absolutely made my night!!! She recognized me from TCSK which blew my socks off. She is a college friend of the bride and me a college friend of the groom. What fun!?! Katie --- thank you sooo much for saying hello and for reading this little blog. Chin chin to our good friends tying the knot!!! Xoxo-BLC

PS: I received a few questions already about my earrings and you are so kind to ask: they are by Loren Hope (see here) and I literally hunt for reasons to wear them. Not heavy at all and the perrrfect pop of color!

Shemy This Way

We played hooking from work and jetted off early to catch a friend's rehearsal dindin in Charleston, South Carolina. We landed, as we often do, at Shem Creek for a night cap and oh la la was the view bright and colorful. Happy Friday to you and yours!!! Xoxo-BLC

Lilly Lovers + Pink Pelican = ♥

I've been to Huntsville three times: once for Space Camp circa 1996, once for a wedding, and once for work. Two of the three trips I have made stops at The Pink Pelican and oh la la is it too much fun!!! I'm verrry guilty of shopping online and even on the phone. The shop girls are just the nicest. If I were in Huntsville for a fourth time on June 30th, you better believe I would be at their Lilly Lovin' Soiree!!! Xoxo-BLC

The Company We Keep

I may or may not have a blog alert out for "The Company She Keeps" and it may or may not come up with the funniest gossip most times. But this time it may have led me to the band "The Company We Keep."

I was blown away by this band. Amy has an ah-mazing voice and the whole group has this great dynamic. And they must be doing pretty well ... an alert popped up from MTV which is the big times. Best wishes to The Company We Keep and thanks for letting me keep company!!! Xoxo-BLC

Ta-Ta San Fran ...

It saddens me to bid San Fran farewell!!! We have had so much fun visiting our friends, touring wine country, seeing a new city, and vacationing. San Francisco was totally worth the looong flight and time change. It was fun digging out Fall/Winter clothes and packing only my favorites. The weather change was nice: from easy peasy in wine country to chilllly in the city. And it was a very nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of daily life (and a nice break from the humidity in the South). We all agree: we cannot wait to go back. Back to wine country. Back to San Fran. Back to Cali, Cali!!! Until next time, ta-ta for now. Xoxo-BLC

PS: I almost forgot (but how could I!?!): for our last night we dined at Park Tavern and oh-my-goodness was it divine. It was the group favorite. Dare I say the food was Southern inspired? It was absolutely delish. The restaurant was beyond cozy and I'd love to know their decorator. It's a new place and I definitely look forward to returning next time I am in town!!!
