Wedding Bells

A childhood friend of my husband had a wedding in their hometown and we just couldn't miss it.
Our first dogsitter watched Squeak at my in-law's casa and I knew she was in good hands for the night.

We had such a fun time dressing up, getting out, seeing old friendly faces, spending time with my SIL/BIL/in-laws, and just cutting loose. Cheers to the newlyweds love, laughter, and happily ever after!!! Xoxo-BLC

Fresh Air + Colorful Leaves = ♥

My cousin is getting hitched in the North Carolina mountains and I just don't think there is a prettier place in the Fall. The leaves were STUNNING. The fresh air was wonderful too.
Squeak thoroughly enjoyed the walks, mountain air, and colorful leaves.
I truly get an F for not taking more pictures but it was such a pretty weekend.
My cousin's venue was at a gorgeous farm. She looked ah-mazing and wore our grandmother's fur - just like I did. So sweet!!! I'll steal a picture from her to share. It was such a lovely day celebrating those two lovebirds. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness!!! Xoxo-BLC

Wedded Bliss

I have been beyond excited for this wedding ...
... its my first real night out since the baby!!!
My in-laws watched Squeak and it was wonderful knowing she was happy and safe.
It was also lovely primping at ease and getting all gussied up.
Unfortunately, these were the only two pictures I took. I was having TOO much fun!!!
It was such a pretty wedding. And the dance floor ... is covering a pool.
Never have I ever danced over water. ;)

Beach ... what beach!?!

We stayed at our friends gorgeous new beach house and oh la la was it FUN:
It was so much fun we hardly left but for wedding festivities and food runs.
Beach ... what beach!?!? Who needs a beach with a pool like this.
I hate to admit it, but my toes didn't even touch the sand.
College bess frans! The four of us dated throughout college ... and married our college sweethearts.
It is really fun being friends over the last 10 years and I can't wait for the life chapters ahead.
We had so much fun celebrating our Clemson friends that married this weekend.
I've never been to a Sunday wedding but it was so lovely.
There something special about holding it on the Lord's day.
Cheers to their love, laughter, and happily ever after!!!

Vow and Forever

It's wedding day for our two college chums and we couldn't be happier for them!!!
We knew him in college and met her in Charlotte, and I'll have to say it again: when two Clemson Tigers marry ... it just more fun. :)
My husband was in the wedding and doesn't he look dapper. I didn't know their ties were pink but of course it put a smile on my face. I love being matchy matchy ... and it's even better when its not on purpose. And, if you can't tell, the baby bump has officially made an appearance.
The wedding was at the most darling white chapel and the reception was at this gorgeous plantation. The weather said rain ... but the couple got their wish and it was perrrrrfect outside.
I wanted to snip a piece of Spanish Moss and take it home with me.
The trees and water could not have made for a prettier scene.
The wedding band was the same one as this wedding last year ... and oh-my-goodness did they rock!!! Have you ever seen someone get so HIGH during SHOUT!?? I sure haven't and what a hoot.
Cheers to our college chum's love, laughter, and happily ever after!!! Xoxo-BLC

Speech, Speech, Speech!

It's time to kick off the wedding festivities with the rehearsal dinner! The couple is marrying on Edisto Island and it's just a stunning place. I've never ever been here but what a gem. The rehearsal dinner took place at such a cute location near the golf course. They served a low country boil that was deeeelissssh. Food just tastes better pregnant and this dindin did not disappoint. Half way thru the evening, it was time to toast the happy couple. I know I am completely biased, but I just love it when my husband gives a speech. My heart always races because I am nervous for him ... but he always speaks with such ease in front of big crowds. He always has such a heartfelt message and has everyone laughing --- he is usually short and sweet. This time was no exception! Xoxo-BLC

Forget Wedding Cake ... I SCREAM!!!

We had a college chum's wedding this weekend in Columbia and it was such a special occasion. We were touched by the speeches at the rehearsal dinner - you could feel their love and their families excitement about their union. It was a very sweet night.
The wedding was beyond lovely! I am now loving food more than ever (oink oink) and the reception had THE food. My favorite part: Marble Slab ice cream station. Yes please! Seconds, why not!?!
I didn't even eat wedding cake which is UNHEARD of for me!!! I loved the reception location. It was perrrfect for a wedding and to accommodate the BIG crowd. Lanterns and exposed brick always win in my book. We could not be happier for the two lovebirds and wish them a lifetime of happiness!!! Xoxo-BLC

The Wedding

My husband's childhood best friend married today and oh was it FUN!!!
The pair were engaged in Paris on the love lock bridge ...
so how cute is their "guest book"!?! Everyone signed a lock.
The wedding was at the Miles House which was stunning.
The courtyard provided the perfect outdoor venue
and the Barbadoes Room provided the perfect indoor reception.
No wedding is complete without DANCING!!!
It was so much fun being a part of their BIG day.
Cheers to their love, laughter, and happily ever after.

The Wedding Date

Joeytella looked so dashing and cute right before we left for a college chum's wedding, I almost took him as an extra date. The bride and groom graduated with us from Clemson and oh-la-la was it such a fun wedding!!! It was beyond sweet seeing their "I dos" and dancing into the wee hours of the night. Cheers to their love, laughter, and very happily ever after!!! Xoxo-BLC

Stella + Philadelphia Wedding Magazine = TDF!!!

One of the HIGHLIGHTS of being with Stella this past weekend:
her wedding was featured in Philadelphia Wedding Magazine!!!
You MUST see this issue. She is the feature bride and could not be more stunning.
It was TOO much fun seeing her in print!!! The article is perrrrfection!!!
Highlights of wedding details included: the menu (gorgie and delish cake too),
her dress/shoes details, how the met, and their beloved first dance.
I've already ordered 5 issues and I expect it will remain a staple on our coffee table.
I always knew I was the Gayle to her Oprah!!!

Wedding Crasher ...

So I might-have-sort-of-did-make my cousin cross something off her bucket list:
CRASH a Sewanee wedding!!! Here is why: my cousin is a student at Sewanee,
the bride and groom graduated from Sewanee, the wedding was at Sewanee,
it was on her bucket list to crash a Sewanee wedding, and why not!?!
She crashed sooo late in the night, it almost didn't count. So we made rules:
dance dance dance like you belong and a picture with the newlyweds was a must.
Check and check!!! She was such a trooper and many thanks to the bride for her blessing.
It was such a lovely wedding. From the ceremony to the first-dance-portriat to Jason Isbell rocking the reception to the delish (and gorgie) wedding cake to seeing the lovebirds so in love, it was just perfect.
Cheers to their love, laughter, and happily ever after!!! We cannot wait to welcome you to the newlywed club when you return from the mooooon. Xoxo-BLC

PS: It's only fair to admit: post-wedding-festivities, I crash a fraternity band party with my cousin and oh-my-goodness was it sooo much FUN ... and oh-my-gosh did I feel soooo old (I'm a good 6-10 years old than those kiddies). The band party was a good time, but I only lasted three songs ... ta-ta to my early 20's and those late, looong nights!!! :)

Rehearse and Dine

This weekend, my husband had a college friend getting married and I had two law school friends marrying each other. We decided to divide and concur: he in South Carolina and me in Tennessee.
Being in Tennessee, I needed a hot wedding date: the only 10 I see to take: Mamatella!!! She was a wonderful wedding date. This is such a special wedding: the bride and groom attended Sewanee undergrad together but didn't fall in love until our law school days. It has been such a joy to see these two lovebirds fall in love and I cannot wait for their "I dos" tomorrow!!! Xoxo-BLC

Happily Ever After

It's here, it's here!!! Apsy is getting MARRIED today.
The maids laid by the pool and then gussied up with the bride.
It was so much fun getting ready and beautified together.
She let me wear her hardware for the ceremony. Her groom proposed with just the
stone in a band setting and then let her pick out the setting as you see it.
Talk about gorgie!!! She added a band after the "I dos."
I do love that her sissys gifted her an emerald band --- so sweet.
Mr. and Mrs. can dance up a storm!!! Such a great first dance into happily ever after.
Apsy is such a stunning bride and glowing with joy.
Her Split Ends posted this on Instagram and I had to steal it.
We had sooo much fun celebrating with the newlyweds.
We wish them a lifetime of happiness!!!

Lunch, Rehearse, Rainbow, & Dine

We were up and at it first thing for our maids luncheon.
It was at a lovely restaurant that grew the veggies and fishes on the roof.
Talk about FRESH!!! It was so fun having girl-only time.
By late afternoon, it was time to r-e-h-e-a-r-s-e.
Isn't the back drop for the ceremony divine!?! TDF.
The rehearsal dindin was poolside and oh-so-fun.
As we sat down for dinner, we noticed the rainbow ... what fun!?!
I toasted to Apsy and gave her the best pre-wedding advice I've heard: "negotiate your
shopping budget tonight before tomorrow's I-dos!!!" Thanks cousin R!!! ;)
We are all smiles for the bride and groom's BIG day!!!
Of course the night ended at the resort watering hole ...
All the maids are all smiles!!! We folded early to get our beauty sleep.
Yeahhh for their BIG day!!! Xoxo-BLC

PS: I cannot STOP wearing these earrings by Loren Hope: Dabney!!!

Chapel of ♥

We had such a fun day celebrating our two college chums ...
... from watching their lovely I dos ... to dancing the night away ...
...  to reading your wedding announcement in The New York Times!!! Cheers to their love, laughter, and happily ever after. Xoxo-BLC

PS: A special hellooo to P-Hut ... it's your TCSK debut but certainly NOT your last!!! :)

About to Get Hitched

Two of our favorite college chums are fixing to get hitched tomorrow.
This bunch could not be happier for them:
The groom's cake was beyond impressive:
a Clemson cooler with Bud Light ... made entirely of sugar. WOW!!!
The bride and groom cheers the sugar beers and when dared, took a bite.
Their reaction was too funny. I must say, the cake part: beyond DELISH!!!
The bride and groom are just the perrrfect match.
We are sooo excited for you two to be Mr. and Mrs!!!

Going to the Chapel ...

... and she is getting married!!! I am sooo excited for one of my college best friend's BIG day!!! We snapped the picture below right before the bride (middle) slipped on her dress. Don't you love the maid dresses by Lula Kate!?! I certainly do --- dare I say its my favorite of all 12 thus far!?!
We woke up early to primp and it was divine having someone else in charge of beautifying moi.
I just loved the hair and make-up team and they not only made me look pretty, but I felt pretty too.
Above is my bouquet filled with peonies and our sneak peak of the reception. The flowers could not have been prettier. Look at the dashing couple!!! I think they were made to grace Town & Country.
The reception was a cricket club and oh la la was it glamorous. I just loved the green grass courts and the lovely decor inside. If we had a cricket club like this in our neck of the woods, I would live there.
Stella is one of my dearest friends and being a part of her BIG day was such a gift. She deserves all the happiness in the world and seeing her sooo happy just made it beyond special. Her day could not have been more perfect and stunning. Chin chin to the newlyweds and your lifetime of happily ever after!!! Xoxo-BLC
