Courting Tennis Styles

After shaking off a year of rust, I played t-e-n-n-i-s!!! I had the BEST time.

I firmly believe how cute I look on the court is directly proportionate to how well I play tennis. Ale might disagree! But when Lilly Pulitzer teams up with LeSport Sac to make tennis equipment and Loup releases their daaaaaashing Spring line, I cannot help courting their stylish ways! Revoked Grocery Shopping Privileges

Ale officially revoked my grocery shopping privileges. How rude!? And I just cannot imagine why!? All I purchased was (1) the items listed on our grocery list and (2) every available Barnum's Animal Crackers.

So what!? I only came home with 12 boxes. Plus, this Lilly Pulitzer edition commemorates Barnum's support of the World Wildlife Fund. Worthy cause, right!??? Remember these posts: Main Squeeze and My Main ... well no one made fun of the ridiculous amount of Flordia's Natural in my refrigerator. Anyhoo, buying LP at the grocery is just more fun!!! Not Made Up

I use to draw the line: no Lilly Pulitzer after Labor Day or before Easter. But after the killer 2006 fall season, I crossed that line. I re-drew the line: no sleeping in LP. Well, I crossed that line too after my sweet sister-in-law gifted me the most comfy LP pajamas. I just dream better sleeping in LP!!! Anyhoo, I planned to re-draw the line where LP couldn't tempt me: make-up. But, thanks to MAC and Maybelline that just isn't going to be possible!!! Let's forget line-drawing and get made up!!! Paparazzi and my eldest nephew played with the fishies at the Georgia Aquarium (above) while my sissy Lala and stepmadre spent some quality time in with BIG fishes in the Everglades (below).

The Wedding Girl

I have been craving a wedding-read like no other. I recently read A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve and The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks. Both great, but not the quench I needed. Anyhoo, I picked up The Wedding Girl by Madeleine Wickham (Sophie Kinsella's REAL name) and ooooooh was it divine!!!! This book hit the spot!!! With so many unexpected twists and turns, I just could not put it down until all 326 pages were read in full. Aisle be just fine because I'm now all wed up! Hehe. Xoxo-BLC

The Mask

Ale and I attended our first ever Masquerade Ball!!! We had an absolute blast being festive and, of course, cutting a rug. I think I just dance better with a mask on! Teehee. Xoxo-BLC

Fetch

Fetch for dogs? Puleaze!!! According to Joeytella, fetch is a human sport. His favorite game: "loosing" his toy under furniture and whining in the most pitiful way until retrieved. He did not appreciate my mockery, hence the grrrrrrowling. And just for the record, he won: I retrieved the squirrel. Human fetch is just more fun, right!? Xoxo-BLC

Twenties Girl

Sophie Kinsella, by far, is my favorite author! And she has done it again --- her newest book, Twenties Girl, stole my heart. I read the entire book this weekend at the lake. Traveling with Lara through this read makes me want to explore my family history, travel to London, learn the Charleston dance, and wear a dragonfly necklace!!! The book was phenomenal!!! I think I am suffering from pinkeye after watching Martha Stewart's Pink Show!!! After the Lilly Pulitzer show last year, Martha and I are BFF! Speaking of BFFs, did you see Liz and Jane's Pink Show-fashion show??? I am currently obsessed with their daily Shopafrolic fashion emails (thanks to BFF LP). Liz has this great shopping slogan: "If it's expensive, sleep on it. If you still want it in the morning, go for it. If it's gone, it wasn't meant to be. If it's there, it was!" I think if it's pink, you can skip the sleeping on it part!! Seeing the world in PINK isn't so bad, is it!??? Xoxo-BLC

You read the book: The Devil Wears Prada. You watched the movie: again, The Devil Wears Prada. But have you seen the documentary: The September Issue??? Yes, September in March means I am fashionably late. The ice queen wasn't that icy and Grace Coddington warmed up the documentary by making it HAUTE! She is the reason I loooooooooove Vogue. Moi Joyeux Anniversaire

It's my joyeux anniversaire alllll day!! I am one year older --- 26 to be exact. Today I will be up, up, and away as I fly HOME!!! I am looking forward to family quality time, R&R, a little celebration, and a big celebration.
