Gift hunting: child's play! Thanks to Lilly Pulitzer's miniaturized line. The Hen's first is on the way and I could not be more thrilled to welcome their little bundle of joy. I bought Mary Lynne this shift and I just know she is going to be so stinking cute in it. If March could hurry up already, she could try it on!! Mary Lynne is going to be one hip gal if her baby shower set the bar for her fun factor. And, as if I had any doubts about that! Socialization II

Setting: After a lovely dinner, Kiki, the boys, and I were walking downtown when we heard this awful noise. Baaaaad karaoke. One girl, singing completely alone, in a bar. All four of us were paralyzed, unable to move.

Singer: Blah blah blah (think ear piercing)

Kiki: [to me] Should we stop her, break the machine, or keep walking?

Stranger: [interjects] Isn't she just great!? I mean, the best ever. You girls should give it a try.

Me: [to Kiki] Keep walking? She does have a fan ...

Kiki: [to me] Yeah, that was most likely her mom.

I mean, karaoke can be fun, right!? Well, we sure had a great laugh. Xoxo-BLC

Truth be Told

1. I refuse to drive/ride more than 4 hours. If it is that far, I want to fly.

Lace Up

Race day always gives me butterflies! We laced up and booked it 13.1 miles to finish our second half marathon together. The Miami course is absolutely beautiful. We started at the Port of Miami, crossed the bridge to South Beach, ran along Ocean Drive, passed the Versace house, and crossed back to downtown Miami. I would recommend this race to any distance runner/walker. Proud of my girlies for going the distance! Xoxo-BLC

I'm Charmed!

Coterie hosted a "Pay It Forward" and I am the charmed winner! Many thanks A! Here is the beautiful book and the charm bracelet my comment referenced. Miracles happen everyday. Today, the news is covering a major story of heroic measures. I thank the Lord for the safety of all aboard of Flight 1549, especially our dear family friend. Popsy, a dear friend, told me Twilight was "the most romantic love story of all time." I kid you not. I asked her if she had ever read/watched Gone with the Wind. Anyhoo, we saw the movie and she tossed the book my way before the holiday. And OMG. The movie was fantastic, the book was remarkable, and I am officially on the bandwagon. All thanks to Popsy! Socialization

Setting: After a large soiree, Kiki and I are bunking together in a friend's penthouse. We are two of many guests sleeping over. It is early. VERY early in the morning. Door opens. Boy enters. 

Boy: [tapping Kiki] Excuse me miss, can I sleep with you?

Kiki: [to boy] I am sorry, but I do not think my husband would like that.

Boy: [tapping me] Excuse me miss, are you married too?

Me: OMG. WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN OUR ROOM? I am calling security. GET OUT!!!!!

Kiki: [to me] BLC, the Munola's do not have security.

Oops. Boy ended up being harmless (and another *rude* house guest). Talk about an unwanted wake-up call! Haha! Good times with Kiki, as always. Xoxo-BLC

How much is that puppy in the window? I need this one. Bad! Her jewels would be Sniffany's and necklace by Lilly Pulitzer. She would not dare go outside without her Chewy Vuitton or Lilly Pulitzer lead. Occassionally, she would sport her Polo. For the upcoming Super Bowl, she would eat ToMUTTo Soup and drink a Buddyweiser. She would date Bourne, Kiki's pup (and my godson). She would have the purrrfect life. Who passed all five classes with flying colors? Me! With the help of ... a lot of people. Especially God, Ale, Granddad, and my parents. Toot toot (yes, I pressed my own horn). Fly DELTA

I am flying the coop for The Hills today. Yeah! Spring semester begins Monday. The bursar's office is holding my grades because I "forgot" to pay a parking ticket. Oops. No grades for me until the bursar's office re-opens. Anyhoo, I am looking forward to catching up on some much needed reading in the airport before I hit the law textbooks. I am cleared for take off! PS: My flight, definitely cancelled. I suppose I can spend one more day on the coast and catch tomorrow's flight out! 

Impossolutions

New Year's Resolutions. Love 'em, hate 'em, and I still make 'em. My impossolution: eat less sugar (gasp, my second favorite thing (yes, Lilly is first)). Here are my stipulations: I cannot eat sweets unless it is a (1) national holiday, (2) celebration (birthday, wedding, shower, etc.), or (3) vacation. Do you have any resolutions?
