I lost my engagement ring today. Gasp!!! I was playing softball with the Litigators and noticed my naked finger in the third inning. I hit the panic button and prayed. My teammates and the other team dropped on all fours to search high and low. The ring was in the bat bag where I put my glove after the first inning. Hallelujah! God answered my prayer and many many many thanks to the search party. My diamond was found ... on a diamond!! Has this ever happened to you!? I hope not because it is s-c-a-r-y! Xoxo-BLC

Omg, I lost mine too while I was shopping!! I started freaking out bc I thought I dropped it inside a store somewhere and thought it was gone for good. But thankfully, it fell into one of my own shopping bags!! It was hidden underneath a receipt. I got soooo lucky, but it was sooo scary! I thought I was going to faint!!
ReplyDeleteHow petrifying! Glad you had stored it in a "safe" place.
ReplyDeleteYikes that is SO scary!!! I'm so glad you found it!!
ReplyDeleteOh' yes it has. I lost mine in my purse!! I didn't realize there was alittle tear in the pocket I had placed my ring in while I was doing something. I thought I was going to get sick!! But lucky after several frantic hours, I found it! Woo!!! Try explaining that one to your husband!
ReplyDeleteGAH! I panicked when I READ this; I can't imagine actually going THROUGH it. So glad you found your diamond on a diamond, what a cute story (better in hindsight than in the moment, of course!!!).
ReplyDeleteThere was one time where I was in the car and had taken my ring off to put lotion on, and then I couldn't find my ring. This was not a huge freak-out since I knew it had to be in the car somewhere, but I still felt panicked. My sister-in-law lost her ring at the hospital where she worked and never found it. It's 6 years later and it still bums her out to talk about it.
ReplyDeletethanks heavens- St Anthony is the saint to pray to for help when you lose something!
ReplyDeletekHm
OMG! I know that feeling and it is the pits. I woke up one morning and couldn't find my ring. I panicked but it had just slid off and gotten tangled in the sheets. It was horrible for a few minutes. I was terrified to tell Mr. P....
ReplyDeleteI lost mine for a good two days when I was living at home before the wedding - I was so afraid to tell Rob, just as I was going to do so I found it sitting nicely in a drawer - clearly where I had put it to be a "safe" place :) Glad you found it! Hope it doesn't happen again :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! I am so glad you were able to find that gorgeous ring so quickly!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness!!! so glad you found it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found it! I can only imagine the feeling of panic.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! I've never had that happen to me, but I'm glad you were able to find yours!
ReplyDeleteI would lose my mind! Glad you found it!
ReplyDeleteMy friend lost her engagement ring and, for the life of her, could NOT remember where she took it off. She thought it may have slipped off her finger in the parking lot at work and she borrowed a metal detector from Public Works! What a sight that was! Fortunately, she took the ring off at home and found it that afternoon. Whew!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your ring was found!!
Thank goodness you found it! I got nervous just thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteSo, so glad you found it. Every time my ring would fly of my hand because it was obviously too big I would be greatful that I noticed...I know the fear. Mine is getting resized as we speak because with the cold air approaching I just didn;t want to deal with it anymore.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you found it! Thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you found it! I left mine at a tanning salon once. They just had it in a cardboard box for lost and found. I about cried with relief that they had it.
ReplyDeleteAh scary!
ReplyDeleteThat has got to be like one of the scariest things!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my God!! I'm glad you found it!! I lost a ring that my dad's give me when I was 15 during a day, It was horrible!!
ReplyDeleteYou should consider getting insurance for your engagement right and (eventually) your wedding ring. It definitely gives me more peace of mind when swimming/exercising.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! That happened to me with my class ring on a tennis court, but I never found it again. Sooooo glad you recovered yours!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you found it!
ReplyDeleteI haven't lost mine, but a friend of mine threw her school ring in the grass to get this guy she liked to help her look for it in high school. Oh he helped...but they NEVER found it.
If it's not insured, I'd look into it.
I haven't lost mine, but Husby lost his wedding ring only one month after getting married. And no...he didn't find it.
ReplyDeleteOh thank goodness...I know that scared you to death!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found it!! How scary - I just would have panicked.
ReplyDeleteFirst off let me say I'm so happy you found it! And yes this happened to me and I was sobbing--but I found it. The ring was squished! But the diamond ok
ReplyDeleteOH MY LORD!!!!!!! If this had ever happened to me I would flat out DIE!!!! I am SO glad you found it. HORRIFIC!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever lost my wedding ring, but the diamond in my ring has an interesting "back-story"...
ReplyDeleteIt was my MIL's diamond, and she lost it several years ago (it fell out of the setting). She scoured the house looking for it, but eventually gave it up as lost and called her insurance company. They sent her a check to reimburse for it, and she bought a new diamond. A little over a year later, she was doing some heavy cleaning in the garage and was emptying out their bagless vacuum. She saw something sparkling in it and fished it out - it was the diamond! She called the insurance company, asking if she needed to send it to them or send them a check. She was told that as far as they were concerned, the diamond no longer existed. And that's how I ended up with my diamond!
omigosh! i'm soo sorry it happened, but im glad you found it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you found it! I would have been freaking out. I just saw the original post with the photo of it and I wanted to tell you that Ale did a fantastic job. It is beautiful!
