I have an insatiable appetite for travel, good company, zoo visits, faith, red wine, tennis, legalese, too much sugar, and cocktail frocks!!! I absolutely adore my husband, baby Squeak, and pup Stewart. Cheers to life, legalese, a lot of Lilly, and the pursuit of happiness. Xoxo-BLC ♥

We weekended in Atlanta and it wouldn't be a complete trip without visiting the Braves. We had so much fun with college chums and by chance running into family: a cousin, aunt, and uncle!!!
I exercised my pop culture knowledge by spying Ace and Dunbar in Atlanta. It made me feel old: I haven't watched the Real World in yearrrrrrs. Chin chin to the B-R-A-V-E-S!!! Xoxo-BLC
I don't even THINK I can count to 1,006 without needing a mulligan let alone believe that many of YOU follow this little ol' blog!!! I am beyond touched, so blown away, and convinced my mother paid alllllll of you. Never in a million years would I have thought I had a voice on TCSK. I always wanted a storefront named The Company She Keeps. Woody Allen once said: "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans." While my plans for a storefront aren't in fruition, this blog has taken on a life of her own. Since law school, it has been my creative outlet. TCSK is so much fun to write and you joining me makes it good company and oh-so much more colorful. I cannot thank you enough. And, your comments make my day ALL the time. Gadabout's comment is no exception. You had me at 1,000, but then Clemson ... I don't believe it!?! Then LURECREST!?! TOO MUCH FUN!!! I couldn't agree more: All things wonderful. Many thanks for joining the ride and chin chin!!! Xoxo-BLC
There are things I cannot talk about on TCSK: my real name, my job, where we live, etc. There are things I choose not to talk about: politics, downer topics, unfun things, etc. The things I like talking about: me, the company I keep, wearing it well, living a colorful life, happy things, and what's going on in my little world at this exact moment. I'm almost a year late on this one, but its STILL on my mind:
Rewind to a little less than a year ago, I was chit chatting with a fellow law school classmate before class. One of us conservative and the other liberal. We were discussing tort reform like nerdy law students and he brought up the documentary Hot Coffee. I watched it and I think everyone should. Whether conservative or liberal, we can all agree on this: without all the facts, how can you establish an educated view? I urge you to watch it. Xoxo-BLC
For my husband's birthday, I gifted him tickets to see the Alabama Shakes. The Shakes use to open for Drive By Truckers (another one of his favorites) and they were recently featured in Garden & Gun (another previous husband pressie). We were both mesmerized by Brittany Howard's voice. The whole concert was so lively and exceeded all expectations. It was beyond fun and such a great way to celebrate his birthday. Cheers to the Shakes shake'n'it up!!! Xoxo-BLC
Greeting Earthlings!!! Earth Day is tomorrow, but it's URGENT that we celebrate early.
According to Mary Phillips, go green or else: no more wine. Gasp!!! Wouldn't that be awful??
So, I adopted LP's motto: reduce, reuse, and recycle. Some of my favorite green tips: free the lint bunnies, curtail junk mail, reuse everything, and carry a water bottle. So please share: what you are doing to make this a greener Earth? Cheers to a better and greener tomorrow. Happy Earth Day to you and yours!!! Xoxo-BLC
This weekend I got to squeeze, love on, and be in the good company The Sweet Southern Life. College friends are just the best: for a short moment in time, life was still, we all lived in Clemson, and we were in the same place in life. Now, we are busy bees, we live all over the country, and we are all in different life stages. I believe spending a weekend with college friends is just the best: we get to be still again, in the same place, and catch up on all of life's happenings. The Sweet Southern Life is a dear friend and I miss her ooooldes. I'm kicking myself for not even snapping one picture of us. Don't fret: I am already planning our next visit ... maybe football season come Fall!?! Many thanks for the sweet southern visit!!! Xoxo-BLC
My parents recently traveled to San Fran and had a blast!!!
I only wish they were going back later this Spring when we will be there.
Aren't they too cute!?! I just love them.
I spy the Golden Gate Bridge and look at those redwoods ...
Recipes from Newlyweds and I will be there soon and we are planning up a storm. From Sonoma to Napa to Sonoma, dish: what must we do? What must we see? Where must we play? Please suggest away. Xoxo-BLC

I will never forget the first time I met Ash. It was college orientation at Clemson and I could not have been more disoriented. Ha! She has been an ah-mazing friend over the last 10 years and I love her to pieces. Getting to squeeze her, be with her, and just laugh with her again was the most fun. One thing I am sure of: the company I keep, such as Ash, makes my life colorful. Miss you oodles and cannot wait to see you soon!!! Xoxo-BLC
This year I will be a maid for the thirteenth time (wow!) and I should add wedding to my hobbies. I love weddings because I love love. It's just a joyous occasion and I always feel so honored to be a part of someones big day, whether as a maid or guest.
This wedding was no exception. I felt honored to be invited and oh-my-goodness
did it have the "wow factor" or as I am calling it: the vow factor. :)
The church was beach meets cottage meets gorgeous.
The entire ceremony was beyond touching and their I dos so heartfelt.
The reception sight could not have been prettier. We walked in through the gardens.
The weather was perfect and the flowers were in full bloom popping with color.
We could have walked those gardens for hours ...
... but we heard the band playing and our dancing shoes called us to the dance floor.
It was wonderful seeing these two lovebirds tie the knot. We had the best time being amongst college friends again --- it almost transports us all the way back to our early twenties. Oh what fun!?! Chin chin to the vow factor and these two's love, laughter, and happily ever after!!! Xoxo-BLC
Happy Friday to you and yours!!! I'm excited it's Friday because good friends are getting married tomorrow, its the 13th today sooo its bound to be spooky, and being at the beach is just the best.
I've searched high and low for the perfect maxi dress. Until now, each maxi has been
unflattering or uncomfortable. But I found THE maxi dress and sported it for our Friday outing.

I hope your Easter was hoppy and happy!!! We enjoyed such a lovely Easter Sunday.
We attended the sunrise service and Sunday School yesterday morning.
Afterwards, Recipes From Newlyweds had us all over for brunch. Oh la la was it delish!!!
Anna is a great host and cook. Check our her blog for our delish meal. :)
Jesus said in John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live,
even though they die." Jesus is alive and let us rejoice!!! Xoxo-BLC
While I enjoy the bunny (and candy too), this day is all about Jesus.
Jesus said in John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die." Jesus is alive and let us rejoice!!! Xoxo-BLC
We headed off to the country to meet up with my husband's high school friends (now turned hunting friends) for a big crawfish boil. It was nice being in wide open spaces and around friendly faces.
The blues band was such a hoot and even Jimbo, the chocolate lab, enjoyed the festivities. I do believe we were eating baby lobsters, not crawfish. Ha! A lazy Saturday was just the perfect fix after a hectic work week. I hope your weekending is going well too!!! Xoxo-BLC
Wishing you and yours a Gooood Friday! John 3: 16 (NIV) reads, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." May today start your Easter weekend off on the right hoppity-hop! Xoxo-BLC
At the beginning of each month, I look forward to surfing Matchbook Magazine. If you don't already read it, you should!!! It's divine. It's free (what could be better), digital, and filled with fun inspiration.
I literally squealed with delight when I spied Devon Baer's feature. It is TDF!!!
She looks stunning ... just like her entire line. And her abode, literally a slice of heaven.
Kudos to I Pick Pretty for the heads up that Devon Baer mentioned little ol' me ... I literally jumped over the moon and have been walking on air ever since. How wild that Devon reads TCSK daily!?! I am BEYOND flattered and could not be more tickled. Summer is a Verb also has a nod ... and I am not surprised because she's on my daily-must-read-too. Jump over to Devon Baer's shop to see her pretties and to Matchbook magazine for a twirl!!! Xoxo-BLC
My in-laws came into town to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had the BEST time!!! We laughed, we ate delish cake, we celebrated Ale's birthday, and, most importantly, we spent time together. I am beyond thankful for such a loving and kind in-laws. I don't tell them enough, but I love them and wish we could spend more time together in each other's company. Happy Birthday to my love!!! Xoxo-BLC
It's Palm Sunday!!! My childhood church always passed out BIG palms on this day. I cannot spy a palm tree without thinking of Palm Sunday. In John 12:12-14, it says:
"The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the King of Isreal!" Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written: "Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey's colt."" (NIV)
Palm Sunday is special to me because I was first saved by His grace on this date many many many moons ago. I am wishing you a very special day and hosanna!!! Xoxo-BLC
