I am not a part of nor a fan of the Fashion Police.
Who made up these ridiculous rules!?
Anyhoo, I will be wearing white allllll week long.
White pants, white skirts, white dresses, etc.
I have my fingers crossed this will cure my white fashion needs ... until the season changes and I can wear winter white! :)
Are you a stickler for fashion rules and regulations!?

white shoes- put away after Labor Day, but white denim if worked in, in good taste, is completely okay! I've been wearing lots of white denim of late too!
ReplyDeletekHm
I usually won't wear white shoes or pants after labor day, but I REALLY want to get over this little rule and wear them as long as the weather is warm.
ReplyDeleteI don't care for white shoes anyway, so that's not a prob for me! White dress with a colored cardigan....I'm all for it! Wear your white and be proud!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty obsessive about the Labor Day White rule, but it has a lot to do with the fact that I really just don't like white shoes and pants very much. They look great on other people, but just aren't my thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll be adorable and in good taste, as always!
I put away my white shoes, but being a south Florida girl, I'm throwing the white pants rule by the wayside and wearing them silly! :=)
ReplyDeleteI could care less about the fashion rules. If I have something white that's cute, I'll wear it. Also, I kind of like the thought of being the only one wearing white :).
ReplyDeleteI loosely follow the rules, I tend to let the weather dictate.
ReplyDeleteRules were meant to be broken - especially fashion rules. Part of the fun of fashion is being daring to create a new style. I say go for it.
ReplyDeleteI simply cannot make myself wear white shoes, white pants, white hair ribbon, or carry a white pocketbook after Labor Day...even in South Florida. No sandals either! Even if it's 95 degrees outside.
ReplyDeleteI really don't pay all that much attention to the rules...I don't own white shoes but I'll keep on wearing the white bottoms I have as long as the weather is still nice.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to get away from that rule, but lots of fashion-y people (like my favorite Clinton Kelly) say that you should go more by the weather in your area. If it's hot and sunny in October, he says, then it's okay to wear white.
ReplyDeleteI may not go that far, but I too am wearing tons of white this week...but I may continue it after labor day as long as the weather holds up, who knows?
I am a bit of a stickler for this rule. I think white jeans are fine year round because denim is a heavy fabric. However, white shoes (if I had any), linen, seersucker, other whites go into storage, sadly.
ReplyDeleteI wore a white skirt to church yesterday! :)
ReplyDeleteI go by the weather...I start packing up my whites at Labour Day but it is still hot here so I dont put everything away until the end of September when it is cool enough to wear a sweater of some sort :O)
ReplyDeleteWho came up with this silly fashion rule! White shoes make my feet look like boats - I guess I'm safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing white all week too! I might through the rules out this year though and wear my white skirts and pants though September, we will see.
ReplyDeleteI am wearing my white and Lilly everyday this week as well! I so wish this rule did not apply to people in the blazing hot state of TX!
ReplyDeleteEven in Texas, where it is hot year round, I refuse to break this rule!
ReplyDeleteI agree, ridiculous rule, but i can't not follow it! And I am so with you, white all week while we can!
ReplyDeleteI am doing exactly the same thing! I have a white skirt on as I type. But honestly, I love white and wear it as the mood strikes. And truly, what's lovelier than a good winter white?
ReplyDeletei used to be. not so much anymore....
ReplyDeleteWe don't abide by that rule in South Florida!!! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteI stick to the "rule" because it forces me to rotate my wardrobe. Then I look fwd to wearing pieces -white, madras, Lilly, seersucker...all summer long. :) I just think it looks better in the summer. I don't object to it on others. The rules just apply to me. ;)
ReplyDeleteyou go girl! wear what you want it's your life.
ReplyDeletemost whites need to be put up after labor day but i'll continue to wear my white jeans! love them :)
ReplyDeleteit is so sad, goodbye seersucker and my favorite white shorts:(
ReplyDeletei feel the same way. im going to wear it out until next monday!
ReplyDeleteI love wearing white pants in the fall with brown or gray and on through the winter.
ReplyDeleteI am still wearing my whites! In Florida, people still wear white after Labor Day. I won't wear white shoes, of course :)
ReplyDeleteOnly the rules I make myself. Those I follow to a fault.
ReplyDeleteI'm a stickler... I blame my southern roots. There is an alarm bell that goes off in my head if I try to wear white after labor day!
