My bffs kindly accepted to be bridesmaids after sending them this lovely card and promising not to make them wear a fugly dress. Now I just have to find such a dress ... any suggestions? What about inspirational wedding blogs? Or, make me laugh: I know you have a bridesmaid horror story! Many thanks to my sweet bffs for the pleasure of their company on our big day!!! Xoxo-BLC

What adorable cards!
ReplyDeleteYes, please, BLC! Anything you can suggest to help get through this year would be greatly appreciated! I downloaded Skype, and we've figured out a few days to visit each other between now and Christmas, but still--how did you do it!? How do you get through 1L year living in two different states?
Very cute cards!!
ReplyDeleteI would like to help you but in Spain is not traditional have bridesmaids, but I invite you to visit Pronovias web and Rosa Clara web. Pronovias and Rosa Clara are very famous spanish brides dresses companys. They both have a supercute dresses.

It's been a few years since we were married, so sadly, I'm not up to date with the wedding world, but there are so many great blogs out there, I'm sure you'll find inspiration somewhere!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that card. What an adorable idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm going with jcrew bridesmaid dresses, for sure. They are the only ones I can honestly say I would be happy to buy and wear again and again :)
ReplyDeleteI went to dinner with my friend and some other girls sunday night, and she gave us the sweetest cards and asked me to be her "matron of honor" -- so excited!
ReplyDeletecheck out www.lulakate.com. They are local to Charleston but they have some really fun looks!

Those are the cutest cards! Can't wait to see the dresses you choose! I know they will be fab!
ReplyDeletesuper cute cards! yay for friends!
ReplyDeleteMy bridesmaids wore Jenny Yoo dresses in the same color, but different styles to suit their body type. We got so many compliments!
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't already, take a look at Snippet and Ink and the Southern Weddings blog. Great sources of inspiration!
I think you should check out the J.Crew dresses. They are the kind you could actually wear again - and they come in so many different shapes/colors that they would be flattering on an array of different figures and ages! The construction of the dresses are wonderful too - I vote J.Crew!
ReplyDeleteThe cards are so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the dresses that Aria designs, so cute, but a bit more unique then you would find at J.Crew

I asked my bridesmaids the same way!
ReplyDeleteLandlockedbride has some great inspiration. As does Southern Weddings or Blue-Eyed Bride or Snippet & Ink or Grey Likes Weddings or With This Ring or Bride's Cafe
I could go on and on...there is so much inspiration out there, you just have to find what is right for you!
First, that card is HILARIOUS - too cute!
ReplyDeleteSecond, my only advice is to make a budget for your bridesmaid expenses and stick to it so that they know what they'll be spending. I've been lucky not to have had any personal experiences like that, but many of my friends have ended up shelling out a lot of dough and resenting the bride. That's never good!
I found my bridesmaids dresses on a blog of a recent bride who posted photos! What are your colors? That is important!
ReplyDeleteThose cards are so cute! I would definitely look into J.Crew bridesmaid dresses. Very classy...xoxo!
ReplyDeleteHi Hon! Thanks for following my blog! (This is HSG) My bridesmaids dresses just came in and they are amazing! I cannot wait to post pics! I went to Bella Brideamaid in Dallas. I don't know where you are but they have locations all over the place! I had great service, they are wonderful quality and I am dying over them I am so happy! Best wishes to you and your groom!
ReplyDeleteI have to start searching for bridesmaid dresses as well. I'm looking for short, black cocktail type dresses. I think we are going shopping in a few weeks at some bridal stores just to get an idea of what looks good on everyone.
ReplyDeleteOh and I have some good wedding blogs listed on my blog if you want to check them out.
Good luck!
I am not kidding I had to wear that dress for wedding! Gag me!
ReplyDeleteCute cards and sooo fun for you! Here are a few cute wedding blogs I've collected along the way:

I was an honorary bridesmaid for one of my good guy friends. 3 of the groom's best girl friends that were the honoraries. Of course I was honored, but then I was told by the bride I had to buy a $250 “honorary bridesmaids dress” that was SO not wearable again. WTH? Then we didn't even get to walk down the aisle AT ALL. We had to just go sit in the front like the other guests. I’m pretty sure we didn’t even get in any photos. THEN shortly after they were married she cheated on him and now they’re divorced… Biotch on so many levels!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh as for dresses, i'd suggest buying ones that are just normal dresses. most stores can track down enough for you in the correct sizes. makes you more original i think!
ReplyDeleteTOO Cute...I can't wait to see what you pick out!
ReplyDeleteThat card is adorable! I'm sure you will find something fantastic!
ReplyDeletethere are so many out there - I found at most boutiques if you get your dress & bridesmaid's dresses from the same store you get an amazing discount! I had Watters & Watters, which has a range of prices and styles ... I also like lulakate in Charleston - the store is fantastic and they are so friendly ... I almost had them do our flowergirl dress, but I ran out of time! Good luck and have fun :)
ReplyDeleteLove those cards! What a cute idea. My little sister just got married and we picked the dresses from Lula Kate. They were soooo cute-we really all loved them. They had these big ruffle collars that we "popped" you can kind of see them on my blog in a picture. Bella Bridesmaids has stores all over and they had the best choices. They have all different styles and designers, and very tasteful choices. I highly recommend checking there boutiques out. We went a million places and this was above and beyond the best.
ReplyDeletewww.swsmag.net Great site!!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards you sent! So cute! J's wife used J Crew dresses...they are the only ones I've seen that YOU REALLY CAN WEAR after the wedding. Course, a precious Lily dress would be great too! Can't wait to see what you choose!
even though I'm nowhere near engaged, I'm completely addicted to www.weddingbee.com
ReplyDeleteWhat cute card graphics to send out. I'm blog hopping tonight, having started at My Blonde Reality. I have a sewing and embroidery studio at http://calicodaisy.blogspot.com/. I just sent off an 8-pack of bridesmaids' wristlets to a bride in New Orleans. You'll have to stop by my blog and see my work. Maybe down the road if you find you'd like to have custom gifts made, monogrammed items, or something special for your wedding, you'll think of me. I can do nearly anything but knit! -- michele
ReplyDeleteThose cards just ooooooze style!
ReplyDeleteDARLING!!! Love it! Thank you so much for the comment today. xxox
