Take a Hike

Mamatella and I headed for the mountains for a dual purpose:

to visit my cousin and attend a friend's wedding.

 My cousin and her boyfriend took us on the most breathtaking hike.

The gorgie view perfectly matched the beautiful day.

 The three of us are mom-daughter, cousins, and niece-aunt  ...

... and KD sisters!!! I love love love that we are all KDs.

We visited my cousin's KD stomping grounds and got to squeeze 

this teeny, tiny cutie pie:

It was such a fun day exploring the words, my cousin's stomping grounds,

Don't walk ... RUSH!!!

I have mentioned this before, but it's worth mentioning again: when I meet a Kappa Delta or a Lilly-lover, we automatically have something in common!!! I could chat up a KD or LL alllll day long. Sooo when Lilly Pulitzer recently released this sorority line:

I squealed with delight! Kappa Delta colored my college experience. Mamatella was a KD and I just had to be one too!!! The KD in her taught me to strive for what is honorable, beautiful, and highest. I have lifelong friendships and a passion for philanthropy because of KD. Lilly's would support such an organization! I have many BFFs kin to Tri-Delt, Kappa, and DZ (hiiiii SIL). We are sooo excited about this sorority line. So, don't walk, RUSH is right around the corner. Cheers to going Greek! Xoxo-BLC

PS: I am helping the local KD chapter with Rush this year and the Rush Chair is a MAJOR Lilly Pulitzer fan!!! A Kappa Delta, Lilly-lover ... does it get any better!? :)

The Three B's

It's rush season! I signed, sealed, and delivered my Kappa Delta recommendation letters and am now crossing my fingers the girlies receive bids. My favorite rush memory: the three B's. The forbidden conversation: the Bible, boys, and booze. Whatever was I suppose to talk about with those eliminated?! Don't worry ... Scout's Honor

    

As a KD alum, I pledge to do my duty and eat Girl Scout cookies. A girl can support her sorority's philanthropy through her tummy, right? Don't fret, thanks to a mini-vaca, I am allowed to indulge per my impossolutions. And, I had a blast at the KDAA bash. I am looking forward to many many more fun ones to come. Love you girlies.
