Budg-et

Budget (n.): FUDGE it!

Doesn't b-u-d-g-e-t sound like "budge - it"!? I vote yes for budging my budget, just a tad. To do my duty and support the economy of course! And, I will remove the price tages immediately to make it appear as though I have stayed within my "budget." Tee hee! Do you ever fudge your budget!? Cheers to the best sport around! Xoxo-BLC

  1. Well, you're doing a lot better than I am because I don't even HAVE a budget. I just try to remember things in my head, and it usually works (usually being the key word!).

  2. I tell my husband that it was the only one they had in my size and I couldn't find it online either...so I had to get it :-)

  4. Funny - I have started telling my husband that it was only half of what I paid for it, then today we went shopping and he picked out a dress for me, then was horrified that it could cost so much! Oh well.

  5. My husband is of the opinion that clothes make the man. So he usually doesn't complain if I shop,(not that he notices either) but I feel guilty if I spend too much.

  6. I'm always fudging my budget but I tend to leave the tags on in order to extend the shopping rush :0)

  10. When my mom and I go shopping together we definitely hide bags inside of bags, so instead of 10, we will maybe have 3 or 4 haha!

  12. Budget? What budget?!

There is NO such thing as buyer's remorse in my home...I can justify any and ALL purchases...even if it's another gallon of ice cream that we don't necessarily need in the freezer! ;-)

  13. Absolutely! My favorite line to tell my husband after he asks.."Is that new?" "Oh, no! I just haven't worn it in awhile."

  17. My shopping ban has been going well, but I am feeling badly about not helping change the current economic state. I think I might be contributing later today at lunch!

  18. Love that cartoon!! And yes, I hate having the remorse where you don't get something at a great deal on sale and them you kick yourself about it forever!!

So really - we're saving money - right!?!?

  19. I too am a wife who hides bags inside of other bags to get them inside the house. I've also been known to use a red marker and "mark down" items in the car before they get brought into the house.

Why do we play these games ?

  21. I am the poster child for forgoing my budget. I got really good at leaving things - namely shoes - in the car when I still lived at home. Mother was never too impressed when I walked in holding a new shoebox when I was *supposed* to be working on saving money...

  23. OMG Y-E-S!!! I have been holding off more often (less little trips to TJ Maxx, Target...) but when I "need" something now, it's usually nicer & I totally go for it. I think I'm netting out about the same, I'm not saving anymore $$!! At least I have less junk & have a bit more control...just a bit.

  26. I overestimate how much something costs to the hubs and then when I tell him the real price he's relieved. Ah ha
