Budget (n.): FUDGE it!
Doesn't b-u-d-g-e-t sound like "budge - it"!? I vote yes for budging my budget, just a tad. To do my duty and support the economy of course! And, I will remove the price tages immediately to make it appear as though I have stayed within my "budget." Tee hee! Do you ever fudge your budget!? Cheers to the best sport around! Xoxo-BLC

Well, you're doing a lot better than I am because I don't even HAVE a budget. I just try to remember things in my head, and it usually works (usually being the key word!).
ReplyDeleteI tell my husband that it was the only one they had in my size and I couldn't find it online either...so I had to get it :-)
ReplyDeleteSometimes a womans got to do what a womans got to do!!
ReplyDeleteFunny - I have started telling my husband that it was only half of what I paid for it, then today we went shopping and he picked out a dress for me, then was horrified that it could cost so much! Oh well.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is of the opinion that clothes make the man. So he usually doesn't complain if I shop,(not that he notices either) but I feel guilty if I spend too much.
ReplyDeleteI'm always fudging my budget but I tend to leave the tags on in order to extend the shopping rush :0)
ReplyDeleteI have a budget, but Target likes to screw it up :)

ReplyDeleteI refuse to participate in this recession! That said... Quicken (and my darling husbnad)remind me when I've budged the budget too far!
ReplyDeleteWhen my mom and I go shopping together we definitely hide bags inside of bags, so instead of 10, we will maybe have 3 or 4 haha!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I do this way more often than I should! :)
ReplyDeleteBudget? What budget?!
ReplyDeleteThere is NO such thing as buyer's remorse in my home...I can justify any and ALL purchases...even if it's another gallon of ice cream that we don't necessarily need in the freezer! ;-)
Funny! I like your approach!
ReplyDeleteDD
Absolutely! My favorite line to tell my husband after he asks.."Is that new?" "Oh, no! I just haven't worn it in awhile."
ReplyDeleteOh no! I shouldn't have read your post today. haha I just decided I need to put myself on a budget. Now I'm going to want to cheat! hahaha This is really funny though.
ReplyDeleteI hate budgets! I am trying to stick to one, but it is so hard! I budge mine sometimes because I just can't pass things up!
ReplyDeleteBudget? I am with you, the economy needs our help now more than ever!
ReplyDeleteMy shopping ban has been going well, but I am feeling badly about not helping change the current economic state. I think I might be contributing later today at lunch!
ReplyDeleteLove that cartoon!! And yes, I hate having the remorse where you don't get something at a great deal on sale and them you kick yourself about it forever!!
ReplyDeleteSo really - we're saving money - right!?!?
I too am a wife who hides bags inside of other bags to get them inside the house. I've also been known to use a red marker and "mark down" items in the car before they get brought into the house.
ReplyDeleteWhy do we play these games ?
Oh, all the time! Pish posh!
ReplyDeleteI am the poster child for forgoing my budget. I got really good at leaving things - namely shoes - in the car when I still lived at home. Mother was never too impressed when I walked in holding a new shoebox when I was *supposed* to be working on saving money...
ReplyDeleteI fudge so much more than I should. Opps.
ReplyDeleteOMG Y-E-S!!! I have been holding off more often (less little trips to TJ Maxx, Target...) but when I "need" something now, it's usually nicer & I totally go for it. I think I'm netting out about the same, I'm not saving anymore $$!! At least I have less junk & have a bit more control...just a bit.
ReplyDeleteYay for budging your budget...that's what they are there for, right?
ReplyDeleteHa I keep telling myself that I probably should start one of those soon haha
ReplyDeleteI overestimate how much something costs to the hubs and then when I tell him the real price he's relieved. Ah ha
ReplyDeleteI think my blog is a testimony to my inability to stay in a budget!! But I'm so desperately trying to improve :)
ReplyDeleteThat cartoon is very cute and very true! I am trying to improve on staying within a reasonable budget. With so many stores and online shopping...it is very hard...xoxo
